INJECTABLE SOLUTION - TOCOLYTIC

Formula:
Clenbuterol Hydrochloride 3 mg.; Excip. q.s. 100 ml. Indications:
Tocolytic. Suppresses contractions and relaxes the uterus. Dilator of the uterovaginal canal. Surgical aid in cesarean sections. Conditioning agent for parturition in first-time mothers, preventing difficult births, and for repositioning the fetus in the uterus.
Target species: Horses and cattle.
Dosage and method of administration:
0.0006mg of clenbuterol/kg body weight, equivalent to 10 ml per animal. The further away from the time of parturition, the greater the tocolytic effect. The desired effect is achieved within 10 to 20 minutes after application. The application interval is 24 hours. No more than three doses in total should be given.
Restrictions of use:
Should not be used simultaneously with sympathomimetics or vasodilators, as they produce additive effects. Do not administer to horses intended for human consumption. Cattle: Do not slaughter treated animals until 6 days after treatment has ended. Milk from treated cows should not be used for human consumption until 5 days after the last treatment.
Precautions:
If oxytocics or ergot alkaloids are used after using PARAQUE PARA as a tocolytic, a reciprocal reduction of effects should be expected. If parturition is imminent, applying PARAQUE PARA will produce only a short delay. This delay will be greater the less imminent the onset of parturition. It is not recommended to apply once labor has begun or the fetus is visible. If used in animals that have previously had labor induced with corticosteroids, the effect will be reduced.
