Dexacal 40 Hampton
INFLAMMATION TREATMENT - STEROIDAL ANTI-INFLAMMATORY
Bottle x 10 and 50 ml
Action:
Dexacal 40 Hampton is recommended in clinical conditions requiring vigorous and continuous
corticosteroid therapy. Local and general tolerance is excellent.
Dosage and routes of administration:
Administer via IM or IV.
Horses:1.25 to 2.5 ml, per day, 0.005 mg/kg bw
Cattle: 2.5 to 10 ml, per day, 0.02 mg/kg bw
Induction of labor in cows: 10 ml
Pigs: 0.5 to 2 ml, per day, 0.01 mg/kg bw
Dogs and Cats: 0.05 to 2 ml, per day, 0.1 mg/kg bw
Species:
Horses, Cattle, Pigs, Dogs and Cats.
Indications:
In all animal species as an anti-inflammatory, antiallergic agent, and to increase tolerance
to toxins in cases of infection. Horses: Arthritis, tendovaginitis, lumbago, bursitis, COPD,
pododermatitis, azoturia.
Cattle: Acetonemia, puerperal paresis, ante- and postpartum paraplegia, tetany, arthritis, tenosynovitis,
bursitis, mastitis, metritis.
Pigs: Agalactia, arthritis, eclampsia, intoxications, edema disease, shock prevention,
MMA complex.
Dogs and Cats: Eczema, dermatitis, non-septic arthritis, inflammatory and/or allergic conditions,
intervertebral disc syndrome.
Warnings:
Shake before use.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Contraindicated in gastrointestinal ulcers, Cushing's disease, osteoporotic conditions,
diabetes mellitus, active tuberculosis and viral infections.
It is recommended not to administer to pregnant females during the last third of gestation.
Precautions:
Should be used with caution in animals with infections, renal insufficiency, corneal ulcers,
hypertension, osteoporosis, diabetes mellitus and congestive heart failure.
Its use is not recommended in pregnant animals.
After prolonged treatment, abrupt discontinuation may cause adrenocortical insufficiency,
so it is advisable to reduce the dose gradually.
