Large Animals
Antiempaste Hampton
CARMINATIVE
Jug x 20 lts.
Formula:
Non-ionic surfactant (ethoxylated alcohol) 80 g.; Excipients q.s. 100 ml.
Indications:
Indicated as a preventive and curative treatment for bovine bloat caused by
grazing on legumes.
Dosage and routes of application:
Preventive dose:
Administer: 2.5 ml per 100 kg live weight orally.
Preventive method of administration via water troughs: Note that animals
consume approximately 10% of their body weight in water during spring, this
being variable from 5-15% throughout the day.
That is why we always medicate via water for an average intake.
For water troughs, an average weight of 300 kg per animal will require
approximately 30 liters of water (10% of 300) per day.
In the case of ANTIEMPASTE HAMPTON, the preventive dose per animal for that day would be:
2.5 ml per 100 kg live weight, so for that same weight (300 kg) it will require
7.5 ml per day in 30 liters of water, which is the same as 250 ml per 1000 liters of water.
Curative dose: Administer:
12.5 ml per 100 kg live weight orally.
Preventive dosing on pastures with ANTIEMPASTE HAMPTON (80%):
According to the proposed dosing, an animal of average 300 kg weight will require
a dose of 7.5 ml per day.
Preventive:
every 24 hours, the time the product remains active in the animal's rumen.
Curative:
Every 6 to 12 hours. Repeat according to clinical presentation.
Duration of treatment:
When pastures are present that predispose to the onset of bloat,
preventive treatment can begin 2 to 3 days before placing the animals
on the pasture.
Treatment should be repeated every 24 hours, and continued until the last day the animals remain
on that pasture. In case of curative treatment, it should be applied via a gastric
tube or ruminal trocar, immediately after clinical symptoms appear, and treatment continued
until symptoms subside.
